RITA MAIKoVA

Rita is an abstract artist from Kyiv. She considers art to be an endless dialogue between the soul and the universe. Apart from her work as an artist, she studies psychology, which influences her abstract works greatly.

Rita's artworks are full of symbols and signs. No matter how complex her abstractions appear to be, they represent a simple meaning that everyone can relate to. These abstractions origin from her consciousness and subconsciousness coming together on canvas. The variety and interweaving of shapes excite the imagination, leaving it up to the spectator to make their own associations. Diving into these dynamic forms is like meditation when the paintings speaks to the spectator.

Rita wants a person attracted by her canvas to be sure to drop in its richness, to forget about the external bustle, and become a researcher of a new world - even if just for a moment.
